'IP/11Vena.k <br /> AVele <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 5 284 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE EVERETT CITY COUNCIL to officially name the <br /> public meeting room on the fourth floor of Everett Station <br /> WHEREAS, the Multi-purpose Room on the fourth floor of Everett Station was <br /> designed as a community gathering place for a variety of events; and <br /> WHEREAS, The Weyerhaeuser Company has been a significant business <br /> enterprise and important contributor to the economy and history of Everett; and <br /> WHEREAS, The spirit of the Weyerhaeuser Company and its people is <br /> beautifully captured in the colorful murals of Northwest artist Kenneth Callahan; and <br /> WHEREAS, The Weyerhaeuser Company murals donated to the City of Everett <br /> by the Weyerhaeuser Company in 1992 are displayed throughout Everett Station; and <br /> WHEREAS, the two largest Callaghan murals are prominently displayed in the <br /> Multi-purpose Room; and <br /> WHEREAS, the restoration and installation of the murals was made possible in <br /> part, from a financial contribution from the Weyerhaeuser Foundation; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett wishes to publicly acknowledge its appreciation <br /> to the Weyerhaeuser Foundation for its contribution to the City; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT that the Multi-purpose Room on the fourth floor of Everett Station <br /> is hereby officially named "The Weyerhaeuser Room". <br /> 'rte. <br /> Councilperson Introducing Resoluf n <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this 30th day of December 2002 <br /> 4 <br /> %. <br /> Council President <br />
