Existing Transportation Infrastructure <br /> 3. 1 Parking Facilities <br /> Snohomish County currently owns, leases or rents about 880 parking spaces in a number <br /> of surface parking lots and garage structures in the downtown area for its employees, <br /> fleet vehicles,jurors and other customers and visitors to the campus. The current <br /> allocation of these parking spaces is shown on Table 1 and the locations of the parking <br /> facilities are shown on Figure 1. <br /> Table I <br /> Current CounCampus Parking Allocations <br /> Allocation I Spaces % of Spaces <br /> Employees 449 51% <br /> Fleet 272 31% <br /> Jury 86 10% <br /> Visitor/Customer 73 8% <br /> Total 880 100% <br /> 3.2 Vehicular Access <br /> Regional access to the County campus is provided by the arterial streets of: <br /> • Broadway is a principal north-south arterial connecting with 1-5 on the south of the <br /> downtown area and becoming SR 529 north of the downtown. Broadway passes one <br /> block east of the County campus. <br /> • Rucker Avenue is a principal north-south arterial from SR 99 on the south connecting <br /> with SR 529 (Everett Avenue and Wets Marine View Drive) in the downtown area. <br /> Rucker Avenue is located three blocks west of the County campus. <br /> • Colby Avenue is a north-south arterial street through the downtown area one block to <br /> the west of the County campus. <br /> • Pacific Avenue is an east-west arterial street connecting from I-5 to West Marine <br /> View Drive. It is immediately adjacent to the south of the County campus. <br /> • Hewitt Avenue is an east-west arterial street connecting from SR 2 under 1-5 to West <br /> Marine View Drive. It is one block north of the County campus. <br /> • Everett Avenue (SR 529) is an east-west arterial street connecting from 1-5 to West <br /> Marine View Drive. It is three blocks north of the County campus. <br /> Access to key County parking facilities is primarily from Oakes Avenue and Wall Street <br /> which have direct connections to all of the above regional arterial streets. The existing <br /> County parking garage with 503 parking spaces has a primary access on Oakes Avenue <br /> with a secondary access from Wall Street. Surface parking on the jail site is accessed <br /> primarily from Oakes with secondary access to the sally port via Lombard Avenue and <br /> Wall Street.
