February 1, 2017
COUNCIL BILL 1701-01
THIRD AND FINAL READING:
AN ORDINANCE establishing rates for Everett sewer service
and surface water management, rates for water and filtration
for inside and outside City customers, rates for wholesale
master meters, and repealing Ordinance Nos. 3417-14 (EMC
14.04.020) and 3299-12 (EMC 14.16.710-13)
Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member Franklin,
that this is declared to be the third and final reading of Council bill 1701-
01.
Council Member Roberts stated the record shows that the Council
previously asked to pull the Service Center Redevelopment Project out of
the rate structure to allow for more discussion; however, the intent was not
to leave that matter to be indefinitely addressed as was clarified earlier
this evening. He stated that in the context of this ordinance, this is
important because of the significant cost components that would have to
be addressed within the rate structure. Council Member Roberts asked
that the Council receive annual briefings on the rate structure so that the
public may also be kept informed.
Debra Bryant, Administration, stated this could be built into the budget
process.
The city clerk was directed to call the roll for the final disposition of the
ordinance.
AYES: Roberts, Moore, Murphy, Franklin, Bader,
Stonecipher, and Tuohy
NAYS: None
EXCUSED: None
Ordinance 3529-17 adopted.
44
