EVERETT CITY COUNCIL PRELIMINARY AGENDA <br /> 8:30 A.M., WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2005 <br /> CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> Roll Call <br /> Pledge of Allegiance <br /> Approval of Minutes: September 7, 2005 <br /> Mayor's Comments <br /> Council <br /> City Attorney <br /> Citizen Comments <br /> CONSENT ITEMS <br /> (1) Adopt Resolution # authorizing claims against the City of Everett in the amount <br /> of $1,829,069.90 for the period of August 27, 2005 through September 2, 2005 <br /> (2) To approve the closure of Cedar Street, Everett Avenue to 25th Street, for the Everett <br /> Sausage Fest on October 7, 8, and 9, 2005, 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.; sponsored by the <br /> Perpetual Help Booster Club with the following police coverage: Friday and Saturday <br /> — two officers from 4:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., four officers from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m., <br /> and six officers from 6:30 p.m to 12:30 a.m.; Sunday — two officers from 5 p.m. to 9 <br /> p.m. All Volunteers acting in a security capacity must be wearing shirts or vest <br /> clearly identifying them as "event security" and any person engaged in directing <br /> traffic on the public streets must wear appropriate safety vests. A flexible barrier is <br /> to be installed at the perimeter to limit unauthorized access or access by disruptive <br /> persons and the barricades at Cedar and Everett Avenue must be manned at all <br /> times during the event to facilitate access by residents <br /> (3) Accept the 2004 Signal Improvement Project with Transtech Electric, Inc. as <br /> complete and authorize the Mayor to sign the Certificate of Completion releasing <br /> retainage in'the amount of $18,822.00 <br /> (4) Accept Phase 2 of the Biosolids and Backwash Solids Removal Project as complete <br /> and Authorize the Mayor to sign the Certificate of Completion releasing retainage in <br /> the amount of $68,897.39 <br /> ACTION ITEMS: (to be considered individually) <br /> (5) Declare Mudcat SP-810 Dredge Surplus and Authorize sale at a Public Auction to be <br /> conducted by James G.
