Amount Budgeted $-0- Expenditure Required $-0- Account Number(s): Budget Remaining $-0- Additional Required $-0- DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: The Public Works Department has applied for and received a 2005 Public Works Trust Fund Planning Loan Application to fund the Comprehensive Water Plan. The objective of this study is to develop a detailed comprehensive planning document that can be used by City's staff to implement the required improvements to the existing City's facilities and results in an agreed upon Capital Improvement Program(CIP). This study will fulfill the legal obligations required by the Washington State Department of Health(DOH) for a water system plan and will be a road map of the manner in which the City will improve, expand, and maintain the water system over the next six years. The amount of the loan is $100,000 at zero percent interest and a repayment term of six years. The total cost of the project is $600,000. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign the 2005 Public Works Trust Fund Planning Loan contract in the amount of $100,000.00 for the Comprehensive Water Plan.
