The city project team has been working with Northrop Grumman to design and specify the equipment <br /> to fulfill the grant requirements. The design and bill of materials have been produced and the City now needs <br /> to acquire the equipment to implement the Public Safety Wireless Network. The grant included $623,410 for <br /> equipment to establish 15 access points and equip 100 police and fire vehicles. The Information Technology <br /> Department and the Purchasing Division are requesting City Council's authorization to proceed with the bid <br /> process to solicit bids from qualified vendors for the necessary equipment. Anticipated expenditure is as <br /> mentioned above and included in the Grant. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Approve Bid Call 2005-794 for Public Safety Wireless Network Equipment. <br /> 0 <br />
