SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE <br /> PLEASE NOTE CHANGE IN TIME <br /> COUNCIL WILL BEGIN WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2005 <br /> AT 1:00 P.M. <br /> EVERETT CITY COUNCIL PRELIMINARY AGENDA <br /> 1:00 P.M., WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2005 <br /> CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> Roll Call <br /> Pledge of Allegiance <br /> Approval of Minutes: November 2, 2005 <br /> Mayor's Comments <br /> Council - <br /> City Attorney <br /> Citizen Comments <br /> CONSENT ITEMS <br /> (1) Adopt Resolution # authorizing claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br /> $2,344,903.83 for the period of October 22, 2005 through October 28, 2005 <br /> (2) Adopt Resolution # authorizing electronic transfer claims against the City of Everett <br /> in the amount of $4,770,346.77 for the period of September 1, 2005 through <br /> September 30, 2005 <br /> (3) To approve the closure of the 2400 block of Colby Avenue for a Food Drive for the <br /> Volunteers of America on November 22, 2005, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., sponsored by Everett <br /> High School with the condition that, for safety purposes, there be full barricades across <br /> the street closures and a detour sign at each end of the block <br /> ACTION ITEMS: (to be considered individually) <br /> (4) Authorize the Mayor to sign Community Development Block Grant Subrecipient <br /> Agreements with Interfaith Association, Volunteers of America, Housing Hope, Senior <br /> Services, and Catholic Community Services <br /> (5) Authorize the Mayor or his designee to sign the contract between the City of Everett <br /> and Viacom Outdoor for employment advertising <br /> (6) Accept a grant from the Department of Homeland Security's Office of Domestic <br /> Preparedness for the purchase and distribution to the City of Everett of equipment to <br /> enhance preparedness to combat terrorism and authorize the Mayor or his designee <br /> to execute the documents necessary to accept the grant and equipment <br /> AGENDA CONTINUED ON BACK OF THIS PAGE <br />
