4 <br /> x � , <br /> f h <br /> l { <br /> r'Ci yF <br /> RESOLUTION No. <br /> RESOLUTION for Expenditure of Human Needs Funding <br /> WHEREAS, the City allocates funding each year to be used for human needs programs; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, $292,500 is included in the 2006 budget for this purpose; and <br /> WHEREAS, there exists in the community a call for monies to supplement human needs <br /> programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Human Needs Advisory Committee, formed to make recommendations to the <br /> City Council for allocation of these funds annually,has voted to recommend funding as listed <br /> below; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE EVERETT CITY COUNCIL that the <br /> Mayor or his designee be authorized to execute a contract with each of the listed agencies in the <br /> amount specified for the purpose stated: <br /> 1, American Red Cross: Project PRIDE $7,000 <br /> 2. Arc of Snohomish County:Emergency Assistance, Medical/Dental <br /> Assistance, Parenting Support and Financial Money Management $29,500 <br /> 3. Boys and Girls Clubs of Snohomish County:SMART Moves $8,000 <br /> 4. Catholic Community Services: Volunteer Chore Services, Family and <br /> Children's Services, Youth Chemical Dependency Treatment and $25,000 <br /> AIDS Care Services <br /> 5. Center for Career Alternatives: Career Readiness $4,980 <br /> 6. Cocoon House: Transitional Housing for Teens $10,000 <br /> 7. Cocoon House: Emergency Shelter Program for Teens $11,000 <br /> 8. Community Health Center of Snohomish County:Health Services for $6,000 <br /> Homeless and At-Risk Youth <br /> 9. Compass Health: Homeless Drop-In Center, Cocoon House Youth $28,000 <br /> Counseling and Senior to Senior Peer Support <br /> 10. Deaconess Children's Services: Teen Parent Advocacy $7,000 <br /> 11. Elderhealth Northwest:Adult Day Health Care $7,000 <br /> 12.
