11 ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE annexing property located south of 100th Street SE, at 27th Street SE, the Cascade Highlands/Hilton Place Annexation WHEREAS; pursuant to RCW 35A.14.015,the Everett City Council approved Resolution 5635 calling for an annexation election for the Cascade Highland / Hilton Place annexation area; and WHEREAS,the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board was notified of the annexation and did not invoke jurisdiction on this proposal during its 45 day review period, which expired August 4, 2005, after which the Board gave notice on August 16, 2005,to proceed with the annexation, and WHEREAS, the City Council passed Ordinance 2862-05 on September 7, 2005, calling for an election to be submitted to voters in the proposed annexation area, and WHEREAS,the annexation was presented to registered voters in the annexation area for approval on November 8, 2005, at which time the voters approved the annexation; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed annexation is in the best interests and general welfare of the citizens of Everett. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: Area Annexed. The property described below is hereby annexed to the City of Everett.
