This assistance program has been supporting the arts since 1991. Through a grant application <br /> process, 10 art organizations (12 programs)applied for assistance in the amount of$31,475 for 2006. After a <br /> series of review and the Commission's consideration, a total of$20,000 has been recommended for financial <br /> awards. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> That Council approves the recommended allocations for Cultural Commission Financial Assistance Awards <br /> to 10 agencies (12 programs) for a total of$20,000. <br /> See attached summary and project descriptions. <br /> 13 <br />
