Amendment No. 1 extended the time of performance of the contract from August 1,2005 to
December 31,2005,expanded the scope of work to reach 30%design and increased the budget by$134,558 for a total amount not
to exceed to$262,387. To date approximately$162,550 has been expended.
INCA submitted the 30%design and SEPA documentation to the City in November. Initial comments from Everett Community
College(regarding transit center location, cost sharing and right of way ownership issues)indicate that additional time is necessary
to resolve these outstanding issues and secure the college's commitment to the project prior to the start of final design. Staff
recommends extending INCA's current contract to June 1,2006 to provide more time for the City and College to address these
concerns.
RECOMMENDATION:Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No.2 to Professional Services Agreement with INCA
Engineers, dated March 10,2005,for the North Everett Transit Center Project.
RI/AI/081005 INCA-PSA Amendment) 3 8
