Created - Membership - Term. ]] A board of adjustment is established. The board shall consist of 12 five members, ell of whom shall serve without salary. '[7��e board members sh211 be uppointeci by the mayor witr consent of the counsel and shall 33 consist of citizens h��v�ng an understanding of the benefits of zoning to the municipality. In ense any vacancy should occur in the membership of 1� the board, for any cause, the mayor shall fill sucti vacancy by making an appointment with the consent of the council. The members of the board 15 may be removed by the mnyor, subject to the approval of the councii for such causes as he shall deem sufficient, which shall be set forth in a letter �� filed with the council. Appointments shall expire on December thirty-firs'. Present members of the board shall hold office for the �/ balance of their respective appointments.
