Allestad
June 18, 1990
Discharge from rof drains and other site drains should be
tiqhtlined to the storm drain system. A ;ermanent perimeter
drain, independent of the roof drain system, should be
placed below the exterior foundations of the structure. The
perimeter drain should colaced inf at 1 a t onehcubicfoot
perforate3 PVC drain pipe p
of dran gravel per lineal foot along the base of the wall.
Erosion Control
The onsite sand soils will be erodable when exposed on slope
surfaces. Surface draiage should be directed away from
slopes and collected in area drains for discharge to the
storm drain system. All existing and new slopes should be
planted immediately with grass and deep rooted plants to
help reduce erosion potential. If excavated materials are
placed on the lower southwestern area pf the property the
fill surface should be planted immedia+.ely to reduce erosion
potential.
Plan Review
This report .:s been prepared to aid in the eval.uation of
this site and to assist the architect, structural and civil
engineers in the design and construction of. the project. It
is recommended that this office be provided the opportunity
to rev+iew the final desigr. drawings and specifications to
determine if the recommend.ations of this report have been
properly implemented and to make any supplemental design
rcommendations which may le required.
Observation and Testing During Construction
Foundation recommendations given n this report are based on
the assumption that all foundations will be placed on
undisturbed recommended bearing material. All footing
excavations should be observed prior to placement of steel
and concrete to se that footings are founded on
satisfactory bearing materials and that excavations are free
of loose and disturbed r.ia+erials. All structural fill and
backfill areas should be observed by a representative of
this office after stripping and prior to placing fill.
Proper fill placement and compaction should be verified with
field and laboratory density testing by a qualified testing
laboratory.
Page No. 9
PL'ject No. 90-122-01
