He stated a remodel job of his home was contracted caith t!ie Star Ilome Improvement Company and they took care of all sub-con t�'ac tor-s.--- A Dfr. John Cogar did the electrical work for the Star Home Improvement and when I Mr. Valentine aslced aUout inspections he �aas given an evasive answer and ignored. � Mr, Cogar does not iiave an Electrical Contractor license as required by the State Lacr, he did not obtain an electrical permit as required by the City nor did he , ask for an inspectior be£ore concealing or energizing the circuits. There were several visible violations made that must be corrected. There is no ground on the kitchen heater. Splices are made in a box where there are so many extra �vires that part of the splicing is done outside the Uox. This is a violation of the code in that it contributes to flame spread of fire. There are open live coires exposed where a person can come in contact �vith energized cvires and grour.ded , objects. This is another code violation that is extremely dangerous. 4lires are run through and across L-he basement caithout fastening as required by the code and are in contact in some places caith metal pipes. Mr. Valentine described ; splices that were made and now conceale:d in the wall that are not made in an f approved manner. , I would recommend that *ir. .lohn Cogar be compzlled to hire a State Licensed i contractor to correct the wiring in the home.
