Tlie City of Everett Building Official has found the buildin� on the above described <br /> property to be substandard and may endanger the life, limb, health, property or safety of the <br /> public and is rendered dangerous pursuant to the provisions of the Unifortn Code for the <br /> Abatement of Dangerous Buildinss Code, Sec. 302, noting the followin�: <br /> 1. The building exists in violation of specific requirements applicable to such buildings <br /> provided by the building resulations of this jurisdiction, as specified in the Building <br /> code and housing code as adopted by Ordinance of this jurisdiction relating to the <br /> condition of buildings. , <br /> 2. The building is open to the public and is an attractive nuisance to inquisitive minors, <br /> and a potential harbor for vagrants. <br /> 3. The building is in such a condition as �o constitute a public nuisance known to the <br /> common law or in equityjurisprudence. <br /> 4. The building has been abandoned for a period in excess of sir months <br /> Ill. Thc above described building shall either be demolished or regaired in accordance with all <br /> current Building Codes and al! other applicable City of Everett codes.' <br /> 1V. IFthe owners elect to repair the building in accordance with thc current Building code <br /> requirements, all required permits must be secured therefore, and the work physically commenced <br /> within sixty (60) days of the date of this Order. All work must be compieted within ninety (90) <br /> days of the date of this Order. <br /> V. If the owners elect to demolish the building, all required permits shall be secured therefore <br /> within thirty (30) of the date oF this order. Such demolition must be completed within sixty (60) <br /> days from the date of this Order, <br /> Vl. Since the building is uninhabitable in its present condition, it shall be kept secured from <br /> unauthori:ed entry and remain vacant until such time as the building is repaired in accordance <br /> with the c�urrent Building Code or demolished and removed from the propeny. <br /> VII. If the reyuirements set forth in Paragraphs 111, 1V, V, and VI above are not complied with, <br /> the city oF Everett will order the building to remain vacated and 4roceed to cause the building to <br /> be demolished and charge the costs thereof against the property and/or its o�mers. <br /> Vlll. Any person havin� any record title or legal interest in the building may appeal from this <br /> Notice and Order to the Advisory and Appeals Board. Such appeal must be i�� writing as is <br /> required in the Dan3erous Building Code and filed with the City of Everett Buildin� Official <br /> within thirty (30) days from the date of sE�vice of this Notice and Order. Failure to appeal will <br /> constitu�e a waivcr of all right to an administrative hearing and determination of the matter. <br />
