To: Jim Iles
From: Narian Dent l '
Date: December 14, 1963
Subject: 6usiness at 2620 Lombard ''
I have been working on this case since June of 1981 . It seems that H H
there isn't much that can be done to make Mr. Schultz, who lives y '
at 2620 Lombard, comply with city requirements pertaining to the ,
type of business he is ccnducting at his residence.
Mr. Schultz runs a junk operation at his residence. He picks up old
appliances and other pieces of inetal , returns to his residence, ther
sorts out what he has acquired and at times stores some of the junk .,
at his residence to be disposed of later. N
 z
Officer Beckdolt and myself went to the alley behind this residence
a year ago and found Mr. Schultz, his brother and other family
members loading his hulk hauler with scrap metal , then atop that he
had placed a junk vehicle. The alley was blocked and there was
junk all around. OfFicer Deckdolt ordered Mr. Schultz to remove
all the junk from the area . H

The neighbors continue to complain of the ongoing noise from Mr.
Schultz brirtging in scrap metal and banging it around. He apparently oi
does this at night or on weekends when we are not working.
There are four vehicles used in the business and three of them are
registered to Hooke Salvage.
This has been going on for• some time. His hulk hauling permit was
expired that apparently has been reinstated. He has no current
business license. I can't do any further enforcement in the matter. n
He needs to be cited now.
H
n
ra
