136 <br /> Apcii 9, 1986 • <br /> LICENSE DENZAL APPEAL � <br /> Michael Clacke, attocney for Wayne Schultz, said his client was <br /> appealing the denial of a secondhand dealer's license to his ficm. <br /> He had met with Pat Beckdolt of the Police Depactment and Macian <br /> Dent of the Building nepactment and agceed that thece would no <br /> longec be any stocaga at theic cesidence. , <br /> Officer Beckdolt said because Mr. Schultz was operating inside the <br /> city limits of Everett, he had Seen issued a business license <br /> allhough his business was �ocated in the county. He then moved into <br /> town and used his cesidence Eoc stocage of cat bodies, sccap etc. <br /> He also left his flat bed tcuck loaded with cac ,hulks packed in <br /> fcont uf his home. Thece wete sometimes two oc thcee of these <br /> trucks patked there. He had been told he needed a second hand <br /> dealec's license and when he Einally applied foc the license, <br /> because of these many pcoblems, the license had been denied. <br /> Councilman Stephanson felt this type o£ opecation should not be <br /> allowed in a residential are3 and thece should be some regulations <br /> dcafted to prohibit it. <br /> Mc. Clarke said the ficm's business location is now in Macysville <br /> and they have agreed the�e will be no stocage of matecials or lacge <br /> tcucks packed at the residence. <br /> Councilman Moccow objeeted to lacge tcucks of this soct being packed <br /> on any stceet in the city, pacticulacly cesidential streets, and <br /> asked foc some stcict regulations on this. He suggested delaying <br /> this foc a week so this could be pcepared. <br /> OEficec Beckdolt said in disussions with M[ . Schult2 they had agteed <br /> that the council would make the decision on this, but if the council <br /> appcoved the second-hand dealec 's license, he aske� that st�ong <br /> conditions be placed on the license so that the city wouldn' t have <br /> the same problems as they did at the residence bPfo�e. <br /> Moved by Councilc�an P;occow, seconded by Councilman Pope that this <br /> item be tabled foc two r+eeks and that the �ttocney ptepace some <br /> conditions to be added to the issuance of the lice�se. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes except Councilman <br /> Langus and Ovecstreet vho Nere excused. <br /> Motion cac[ied. <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO. 863-16 <br /> FINAL READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 4 oE Ocdinance 985-83 (as <br /> amended by Ocdinances 1045-84 and 1066-84 ) foc Fund 340, <br /> 'Region�jl Detention Facilities Consttuction' and inc[easing <br /> the aooropciation by 5322,000. <br />
