Mr. IIabb had been at that hw se, <br /> owned by h!r. George Unsworth, for several weelcs, According to Mr. Sohnsun, ' <br /> ?fr. BaUb had no food or water during this time. He has Ueen aupplied with <br /> wine by Mr. Unsworth. <br /> I made a visit to the Itome at 1:00 p,m..Iuly 5, 1972� I found living conditions <br /> [o be extremely pc+or. �idence of excreta and vomitus was throughout home, <br /> witli u resulting repulsivc odor. Yir. ]3abU was lying fully clothed on a soiled <br /> m.�ttreas, and appeared to be "caked with mud". Three empty wine bottles �rere <br /> beside him. He acknowledged thac he was very sick, and an ambulunce was <br /> called to teke him to Proviclence liospital. D1r. IIabb was known to Snohomish <br /> Ifea�tti llistrict, as he fiad been in Firland fcr tuberculosie, and was supposed <br /> to be takSng medication for this. <br /> Some te�ants (about five) expressed grntltude for someone [aking care of <br /> Verno�. They said conditions there were poor--such as the bathroom wir.h <br /> plugged plumUing w:�s unusable. I saw a sink in the "kitchen" zrea with etand- <br /> ing water in it. One tenant said he li�•es and sleeps on the front porct�, <br /> because of lice inside. I did not make n closer inspection at this time. <br /> Nxs. Margaret �'mith, Public f{ealth Nur.se� Jack Johnson and Faye Baldrey, <br /> caseworkers for �ublic Assistance, were present, because ot another apParently <br /> 111 man, ^fr. 7e11u�. His dauonter was also there. He was lying on the floor <br /> near the kitchen aroa. They c:erc ut[empting to get him to n hospital for <br /> needed care. <br /> The owner of thie establishment, Idr. Unsworth was present and made no comment. <br /> tie appenred to be unconcerned re: the health oY the inhabitants of his house. <br /> According to one tenant, Dir.
