Clark: °"` " "°"",
Fira Cnlef
An inquiry regurding the purchase and use of the building
located at 30i.1 Lombard Avenue, Everett, Washinaton, has
resulted in a complete inspection of thi facility by the Eui1d-
ing Inspection Department und the Fire hlarshal's Office.
A number of conditions in this building have given us cause for
concern. The continued use as a plsce of public assembly cannoi
Ue permitted due to inadequate and illegal exiting facilities
i.om the asembly area. A section of the Uniform Building Code
lEaves some douL-t as to whether or not a legal second means of
egress cnn be provided.
This building is of ordinary Wood frame construction and loca.ted
in Pire Zone I. Both the walls on the north and the outh sides
nre very close to the property line nnd do not havc the required
fire resistive r¢ting for this type of occupancy.
There are signs of age, deterioration end dilapidation including
structural failure in both the north and south walls. Becai:e
of these conditions, safe continued use cf' this building is
questionable and extremely limited. In el.l fairness to uny po-
tential buyer and to yourselves, we would sugest that you con-
tact thi office prior to any further ai:tecipts to sell.
Vei truly yours,
i
12J • .,o-f
Walter H.
