PUBLIC WOR14C <br />ENGINEERING / PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT <br />February 21, 2002 <br />Keith Carlson <br />3416 Lombard Avenue <br />Everett, OVA 98201 <br />Subject: Vehicle Parking at 3416 Lombard Avenue <br />Dear Mr. Carlson: <br />The City has reviewed your application to construct a new driveway at 3416 Lombard Avenue. <br />Unfortunately, we are not able to grant your request because of Everett Municipal Code <br />13.13.050(F.) which specifically states "No permit for a driveway approach shall be granted <br />where reasonable egress and ingress, for the purpose for which the property is used, can be <br />secured from the alley." Our field review indicates that you have access from the alley. If it <br />were possible for you to have a driveway at this location, the area would need to be paved (not <br />gravel as indicated on your application) and the existing sidewalk removed and replaced with a <br />curb ramp meeting City standards. This is an expense that you may not be prepared to undertake <br />anyway. <br />Please give me a call if you would like to discuss this matter.
