All pipes must be run so its to avoid stoppages and all traps must be well secured. No bushing must be used to connect with tite stop -cock at the sidewalk; nipples or reducing sockets may be iced if necessary. No pipe can run between the Company', serviec-cock aatl main, and in case it water meter is set, no pipe must be connecter) outside the meter. Plumbers may turn on water for the purpose of testing their pipes, but thev must leave it shut off at.the'Company's service - cock, and in no case turn on the water for consumers. The water will not be turned on to any premises until the statement herein required has been furnished to the Company and the inspector shall certify that the work has been done in accordance with its rules and regulations.
