DBTAILED EXPLANATIUN OF THE SFECIb'IC 9ARIANCE RliQUEST
For about 37 years, I have parked the "most used car" beside my
house in my drveway, that leads in from Lombard Avenue.
Over the years, trees of my neighbor, along hi property line,
have grown to the extent of dropping spills and pitch on my car.
I enjcy the trees aid would like simply to move my car forward a
little over a"car length" onto this existing concrete slab
which other than a 9ate to bar it off, is a continuation of my
driveway. I propose to build ovar this slab a canopy covered
with fiberglass that wil.l protect my car from both tree debris
and weather.
I have a single car garage at the east end uf my house lot that
enters at right angles to the alley. I keep a second car in it,
but it is very inconvenient parking for a car one frequently uses.
I arn including a sketch f a rrontal view of the canopy as it
would be seen, looking east intu my driveway from Lombard Ave.
rrom all ottier views it is pretty well concealed by hedges and
trees.
The canopy cvill be trimmed with lattice work to match similar
trimmings on some parts of my property, all of which 2 maintain
in the best of condition.
Slab was poured about 27 years ago to park a trailer home. The
trailer was sold about 25 years ago.
