May 15, 2013 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., May 15, 2013 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> Council President Moore presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy, Bader, <br /> Stonecipher and Affholter were present. Council Member Gipson was <br /> excused. <br /> City Attorney Jim Iles led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the May 8, 2013, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. Council Member Stonecipher abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> The Mayor shared that the Governor announced on Thursday the <br /> formation of a task force for the Boeing 777X jet program. The Mayor <br /> stated he was asked by the Governor to convene all local, state, and <br /> federal regulators with completion of work expected by the end of <br /> July 2013. Council Member Roberts will serve on this committee. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Murphy provided a liaison update on the Public Facilities <br /> District monthly board meeting held today. <br /> Council Member Roberts commented that he looked forward to working <br /> on the 777X committee and that he was pleased the Governor selected <br /> the Mayor to lead this effort. Related to this issue, Council Member <br /> Roberts and Government Affairs Director Pat McClain met with the <br /> Governor and legislative leaders this Monday in support of a <br /> transportation package. Council Members Roberts also provided a Sound <br /> Transit update. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> The City Attorney had no comments. <br /> 134 <br />
