The Seacor Geologist sugests that aith one "hot" bo:_ng. .
6'W-2 at 16 ft. deep and 2600 p.o.m. and borine SE-4 at -
i p.p.m. that the soil is afiected (impacted with gas
•apors) to 10 ft. south of the Fire Station propert line. "
They also stated that the lateral eYtent of the '
contaminated plume goPs to the southeast approsimatel}- 10
ft. which is almost t the south property ine in the --
southeast direction. !
rhis independent clean-up action by the Citp of Everett has
resulted in four borings on the James property Nith 2 holes
at 20 ft. deep and only one boring with a trace of gasoline _.
hydrocarbons far below MTCA cleanup levels. Having done
iahat is normal for the industry for a spill this size, from '
tt= evidence there are indications that the south
property, tne James property, is a contaminated site.
Looking at the spill and geolor;ical characteristics
overall, the glacial till is c:onsistently dense to the
bottom of the excavations with no routed areas or ground
water to carry away•the contami:nation. When these soils
were excavated the major source of contamination and most
saturated soil was removed.
Most of the contaminated soil that is left in the ground is
believed to have been there before the May 15 test failure,
was very slorrly migrating, if anv, before the spill and
will stabilize now that the source has been removed.
;:;;
6 °.

o ; ''r
w
' ' trrn;?>,.
i;x> .fi.t  : ',ci r'
.
,, -r3F . "a. . '.,-' k
x
.. . S  1 rq• .
_ i ut'  t. . n xtA'2°:: . ,
F. .'
