The
asbestos concentration in the sample is determined by visual estimation.
For those samples with asbestos concentrations behveen 1 and 10 Qercent based on visuai
estimaHon, the EPA recommends a procedure ]mom as point counting (NESHAPS, 40 CFR Part
61). Point counting i; a statisHcally more accurate means of quanHHcation for samples with low
concentrations of asbestos. If you would like us to further refine the concentration estimates of
asbestos in these samples using point countig, please let me know.
This report is considered highly confidenHal and will not be released without your approval.
Samples are archived for two weeks following ar.alysis. Samples that are not retrieved by the
client are discarded after rivo weeks.
Thank you for using our IaUoratory services. Please feel free to call if there is anything further
we can assist you with.
Director
Enc.: Sample Results
