management objectives of the City. As with the development of any site, if a previously
unidentified environmental condition is encountered during site work, these environmental
issues should be evaluated and addressed, if necessary, at that time.
Recammendations jor Site Redeve%pment: Based on mapping information provided to
G-Logics, the planned replacement building will cover the area recommended for over
excavation. As such, foundation-design considerations should include appropriate
modifications for the proper control of backfill and compaction in this area to reduce the
potentia] for settlement damage to :he new fire station structure.
8.0 LIMITATIONS
Site contamination explorations aze non-comprehensive by nature and aze unlikely to
identify all environmental problems or eliminate all risk. This report is a qualitative
assessment. G-Logics offers a range of investigative and engineering services to suit the
needs of our clients, including more quantitative investigations. Although risk can never be
eliminated, more detailed and extensive investigations yield more information, which may
help to better understand and manage site risks. Since such detailed services involve greater
expense, we ask our clients to rarticipate in identifying the level of service t6at will provide
them with an acceptable level f risk. Please contact the signatories of this report if you
would like to discuss this issue of risk further.
The scope of work on this project was presented in our identified workplan and
subsequendy approved by you as our client.
