Section X. Maintenance and Operations Manual <br />[t is recommended that the items listed be checked at least every six months and <br />following major storm events. 'I'he first year immediately following construction will <br />require more frequent inspection until sediment sources stabilize (i.e. landscaping). <br />Wetpond <br />Remove sediment when depth exceeds 2" or when deposits impede flow or <br />filtration. <br />Remove any vegetation that impedes the free movement of water through the <br />pond. <br />Clear deUris from inlet and outlet pipes. <br />Remove all trash and debris from the pond as it accumulates. <br />Revegetate the pond as necessary if scouring occurs. <br />Detention Vault <br />Remove trash and deUris from vault when accumulations exceed 3 cubic feet. <br />Remove sediments exceeding 3" in depth. <br />Remove an; contaminents sudi as oil or gasoline. Deposit contaminated waste at <br />a hazardous waste disposal site. <br />Cor,trol Structure <br />Remove silt or debris greater than 1.5' below the oudet orifice plate. <br />Repair or replace the outlet tee if it exceeds ten percent from upright position or if <br />not securely attached to the vault wall. <br />Inspect shear gate at least monthly for water tightness and repair as necessary. Also <br />repair or replace it if any of the following conditions appear. <br />Gate cannot be raised or lowered by a person. <br />Pull rod is not hooked to tl�e first or second manliole step. <br />The shear gate is rusted over 50% af its surface area. <br />Chedc the orifice plate on a monthly basis and verfiy that it is in place and not <br />bent. Remove any debris or trash blodcing the orifice or the stand pipe overtlow. <br />Conveyance System <br />Remove silt and debris that exceeds twenty percent of the pipe diameter or 1' deep <br />in the catch Uasins. <br />Check catch basin grates after storm events and at least monthly to insure leaves <br />and debris are not Ulocking th� grates. Sweep parlcing lot area as needed to remove <br />accumulated debris. <br />Fox Enviro Valve <br />C17eck that valve is operating correctly every 30 days. <br />in accordance with manufacwrer's recommendations. <br />valve chamber when it reaches 3" or greater. <br />Replace wo:n or broken parts <br />Remove debris from the <br />�a <br />
