Inspect shear gate at least monthly for water tightness and repair as necessary. Also repair or replace it if any of the following conditions appear. Gate cannot be raised or lowered by a person. Pull rod is not hooked to tl�e first or second manliole step. The shear gate is rusted over 50% af its surface area. Chedc the orifice plate on a monthly basis and verfiy that it is in place and not bent. Remove any debris or trash blodcing the orifice or the stand pipe overtlow. Conveyance System Remove silt and debris that exceeds twenty percent of the pipe diameter or 1' deep in the catch Uasins.
