.PUBL/L fYOlrXS
March 25, 1994
George Winkels
225 Madison St.
Everett WA 98203
SUBJECT: Driveway approach for 225 Madison St.
Dear Mr. Winkels:
The City Puhiic Works Department has reviewed your request for reconstruction work
on the dnveway approach at the above mentioned location. As we have discussed with
you on several occasions, any work to be done on the driveway must be funded by you
af[er taking out a Public Works Permit to cover the driveway alteration. The City does
not have funding to make improvements that solely benefit individual property owners.
The driveway approach in question was installed many years ago during a street
improvement proect for Madison St. and appears to meet C_ty standard requirements.
We aaree that this driveway is not the most comfortable one in the city to maneuver,
but believe that it is adequate to meet the needs of access for a single family residence.
A field observation by our staff noted that an additional access drive and R.V. parking
also exists off your sideyazd on Willow Road.
We would be giad to assist yuu with the permitting process as much as possible and
have our Public Works Inspector meet with whomever ou hire to do the work at the
job sita. A Public Works Permit application is enclosedfor your use. Please rehirn it
to our office for processing.
If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me a[ 259-8807.
Sincerely,
T/
. r ord
En l hcirector
g
cc: Wayne Wentz
jA/I.Cmorltr
CITY OF EVERETT • 3200 Cedar Street • Everett, WA 98201 •(206) 259-8800 • Fax (206) 259-8882
