Pl9BL/C ,!/OlTJrCS'
Mazch 25, 1994
George Winkels
225 Madison St.
Everett WA 98203
SUB7EC1': Driveway approach for 225 Madison St.
Dear Mr. Winkels:
The Cty Public Works Department has reviewed your reques[ for reconstruction work
on the driveway approach at the above mentioned location. As we have discussed with
you on several occasions, any work to be done on the driveway must be funded by you
after taking out a PuUlic Works Permit to cover the driveway alteration. The City does
not have funding to make improvemen[s tha[ solely benefit individual property owners.
The drive.way approach in question was installed muny years ago during a street
improvemeni project for Madison St. and appears to meet City standazd requiremen[s.
We agree that this driveway is no[ the most comfortable one in the city to maneuver,
but believe that it is adequare to meet the needs of access for a single family residence.
A field observation by our staff noted [hat an additional access drive and R.V. parking
also exists oif your sideyard on Willow Road.
We would be glad to assist you with the permitting process as much as possible and
have our Public Works Inspector meet with whomever you hire to do the work at the
job site. A Public Works Permit application is enclosed for your use. Please return it
to our office for processing.
If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 259-8307.
Sincerely,
rv r / ord .
Eng/-P4blic Sernces Direc[or
cc: Wayne Wentz
jatCmarv
CITY OF EVERETT • 3200 Cedar Slreet • Everett, WA 98201 •(206) 259-8800 • Fax (206) 259-8882
