A smoke alarm was found to be not functioning in the main area of the dwelling, upon inspection it was determined
to be missing a battery.
2. A recently replaced gas fired hot water heater (installed last December per tenant) appears to lack an adequate
combuztion air source. A permit search for the installation indicates that a required permit anci inspection approval for
the replacement was not obtained.
3. Inspector Bearda observed that a number of electrical receptacles have been recentiy replaced. These 3 pin outlets
lack a grounding conductor. These outlets are not correctly installed.
4. 7he main Electrical panel that serves this apartment unit is missing a"dead front. This condition presents an electrical
hazard.
The above conditions are defined as unsafe equipment by the IPMC. These code violations should be corrected. Permits
and inspection approvals to make the necessary corrections are required.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide assistance in this matter.
Regards
Ted Budden
: Kevin Fagerstrom
Sent: Thursday, April 09, 2015 2:52 PM
To: Ted [3udden
Subject: RE: [lectrical safety concerns in my home
20`h. .
From: Ted Budden
Sent: Thursday, April 09, 2015 Z25 PM
To: Kevin Fagerstrom
Subject: RE: Electrical safety concerns in my home
We can make it.
See you at 10:00 AM.
