The srte i; <br />located at 1313 Madrona Avenue, as shown on [he Vicinity Map in Figure 1. <br />You have requested (hat ��e complete this report to evaluate subsurface condition, and provide <br />recommendations far site development For our use in prep2ring this report, we have been <br />provided with a copy of the planned site layout by CSP Engineeriny dated January 22, 2013 that <br />shows the proposed lo[ layout. <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />The project will consist o( t�vo res�dent�al siructures Iccated on the southeast side o( trie <br />property ad�aceni to Madrona Avenue. Details of the bwldinc,s are not � nov:n at th�s time: <br />however iootpnnts will total around 3,200 square (eet <br />SCOPE <br />The sccpe of services to be provided by Robinscn Noble, Inc. is for geotechnical evaluaUon <br />services, including the following: <br />• Reviev� avaitable ge�logic maps for the site. <br />• Explore the subsur(ace soil and groundwater con�litio�s in the area of the planned <br />budding vnth a limited access dnll rig. <br />• Evaluate pertinent physical and engineering characteristics o( the soils encountered <br />in the borings. <br />• Prepare a geotechnical report containing the results of our subsurface explorations, <br />and our conclusrons and recommendations for geotechnical design elements of tl:e <br />pro�ect. Our report will mclude: <br />• Description of Ihe geoloyic materials encountered <br />• Descriptio� of depth to groundwater, if encountered <br />• Discussion of seismicrty at the srte alony with seismic design pzrameters <br />includmg Srte Class and site coefficienis based on current IBC cntena <br />• [xcavation considerations. <br />. Recommendations for shallow roundations including allowable so�l <br />hearing values, mirnmum footing sizes, soil parameters for lateral load <br />resistance, and footing drains. <br />• Lstimate the total and dit(erential settlements oi spread (ootinys and <br />floor slabs for variable loading within the building. <br />• Geotechnical recommendations and considerations for support oi <br />concrete slab-on-grade floois. <br />• Recommendations for earthwork and site preparation.
