The permit is being withdrawn based on the following new information.
The City of Everett Zoning C:ode defines grade as the elevation of a lot prior to
development. The proposed deck must be measured from this grade, not the finished
grade. Although you propose the deck to be eight feet high above the finished grade,
we must measure frocr_ the existing graUe. Upon a site inspection, it was found that the
proposed deck would acmally be as high as 10 to 14 feet above grade.
To proceed, the building permit application will need to be revised showing the deck at
eight feet above grade. If this is not possible, you m.ay be able to deviate from the
height limitation if the Board of Adjustment grants a vaziance. Please contact Steve
Ingalsbe for additional information.
If you would rather witlidraw your building per:nit application, :he Building
Department will refund your permit fee.
Since ly

T'un le _
Building Official
 (
Gerry rvine
Senior Planner
CITY OF EVERETT• 3200 Cedar Street • Everett, WA 98201 •(425) 257-8800 • Fax (425) 257-8856
