As you know, we have discovered as a result of the dye test that the side sewer for your home has Ixen dischazging untreateti wastewater to Glenwood Creek. I appreciate your verbal commitment to Mike Papa on October 13, 1999, to connect to the City of Everett's sewer system within two weeks. However, this letter is necessary to provide written direction to perfortn the work that was verbally agreed to on October 13, 1999. Therefore, you are directed to either connect to the City of EveretPs sewer system or discontinue using your plumbing facilities no later than October 27, 1^99. It appeazs that your basement is lower than the sewer main available to serve your home. This means that you will need to install a pump to dischazge your wastewater into the sewer main. The need to install a pump may make it more difficult to retain a contractor, acquire all necessary materials and complete the side sewer work by October 27, 1999. Therefore, I suggAst that you contact a contractor immediately and artange a meeting with Kirk Brooks of the Ciry of Everett Engineering and Public Services Dept. to discuss permit requitements.
