Plans for any such system shall be submitted to the Building Department and the Everett <br />Fire Department for examination and approval. Such plans shall include plans for the <br />undergrolmd mains that will supply the sprinkler system. <br />Aboveground sprinkler piping shall be hydrostatically tested as established ii� NFPA <br />Standard 13. Underground piping shall be hydrostatically tested and flushed as <br />established I NFPA Standard 24 for private fire mains. All such tests shall be witnessed <br />by a Fire Department inspector. For fire safety in multi -family projects with community laundry faciiitie-, the following <br />is required: <br />a. A self -closing, solid core door shall be installed for the laundry room. Any <br />restraining device shah be activated by an approved smoke detector. <br />b. A covered metal contained shall be provided for the disposal of combustible waste <br />in the laundry room. <br />38.
