RESOLUTION N0. <br /> A RESOLUTION purauant ta the Uniform Housing Code authorizing <br /> the demolition and the clearing of a duples and garaQ� from the property <br /> eituated at 1115 Hoyt Avenne, Everer.t, Wa��l>zngton. <br /> Fi�Fes, the City of �rerett Planning and Community Development Director has <br /> found that the duplex and garage which are situated on the property at <br /> 1115 Hoyt Avenue are substan�iard aod dangerous building, pursuant to the <br /> Uniform Housi,g Code and the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous <br /> Buildings; and <br /> WHHiFeS, the City Council finds that the Planning and Community Development <br /> Director issued an Order requiring the owners of the property to make the <br /> necessary repairs or to demolish the buildings; and <br /> ���f�RAS� the City Council finds that the repairs or demolition have not taken <br /> place as was required in the Order; and <br /> W�REAS, the City Council finds that the Planning and Community Development <br /> Director has the authority to recommend this action pursuant to the Uniform <br /> Housing Code and the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings; and <br /> HHP.REAS, the City Council finds that there has been no appeal of che Order <br /> isaued Uy the Planning and Community Development Director and that the appeal <br /> geriod has expired; and <br /> W�REAS, the City Council, upon due consideration, deems it in the best <br /> interest of the health, safety and welfare of the public that a Resolution be <br /> adopted requiring the demolition of the buildings; <br /> NOW, TI3EREFORE, SE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF EVIItETT: <br /> Section 1: That the buildings situated on the property at 1115 Hoyt Averae, <br /> which is legally described as follows, contain conditions which endangers the <br /> life, limb, health, property, safety and welfare of L-he public: <br /> The North 20 feet of Lot 8, and all of Lot 9, Block 221, THE <br /> HEIGHTS ADDITION TO EVERETT, as per plat recorded in Volume 3 of <br /> Plats oc page 40, record� of Snohomish County; <br /> Situated i❑ the City of Everett, County of Snohomish, State of <br /> Washington. <br /> Section 2: That the above-described buildings are hereby declared to be a <br /> substandard and dangerous as i� defined in the Unifor� Housing Code and the <br /> Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dani;erous Buildings. <br /> Section 3: That the Planning and Community Development Director is hereby <br /> authorized to have the above-described �uildings demolished. <br />
