RESOLUTION N0. A RESOLUTION purauant ta the Uniform Housing Code authorizing the demolition and the clearing of a duples and garaQ� from the property eituated at 1115 Hoyt Avenne, Everer.t, Wa��l>zngton. Fi�Fes, the City of �rerett Planning and Community Development Director has found that the duplex and garage which are situated on the property at 1115 Hoyt Avenue are substan�iard aod dangerous building, pursuant to the Uniform Housi,g Code and the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings; and WHHiFeS, the City Council finds that the Planning and Community Development Director issued an Order requiring the owners of the property to make the necessary repairs or to demolish the buildings; and ��f�RAS� the City Council finds that the repairs or demolition have not taken place as was required in the Order; and W�REAS, the City Council finds that the Planning and Community Development Director has the authority to recommend this action pursuant to the Uniform Housing Code and the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings; and HHP.REAS, the City Council finds that there has been no appeal of che Order isaued Uy the Planning and Community Development Director and that the appeal geriod has expired; and W�REAS, the City Council, upon due consideration, deems it in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of the public that a Resolution be adopted requiring the demolition of the buildings; NOW, TI3EREFORE, SE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF EVIItETT: Section 1: That the buildings situated on the property at 1115 Hoyt Averae, which is legally described as follows, contain conditions which endangers the life, limb, health, property, safety and welfare of L-he public: The North 20 feet of Lot 8, and all of Lot 9, Block 221, THE HEIGHTS ADDITION TO EVERETT, as per plat recorded in Volume 3 of Plats oc page 40, record� of Snohomish County; Situated i❑ the City of Everett, County of Snohomish, State of Washington. Section 2: That the above-described buildings are hereby declared to be a substandard and dangerous as i� defined in the Unifor� Housing Code and the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dani;erous Buildings. Section 3: That the Planning and Community Development Director is hereby authorized to have the above-described �uildings demolished.
