The Council date for the resolution authorizing demolition was December 18, 1991, but this item was pulled from the agenda by Council President, Ed Morrow. The owner, Tom McKee, has been working on the foundation and other structural components of the building. There have not been any permits issued for this work. I sent a letter to Mr. McKee o¢ ,Tanuary 10, 1992, explaining that the Notice & Order authorized him to make repairs to the building, and that the Order required permits for the work. The letter was sent certified mail, return receipt requested. The letter was delivered. I received a phone call at home on Saturday, February 8, 1992, from a neighbor of this house advising me that work was being done on the building at that time. I proceeded to the building and saw work being done on the fcundation. I did not approach the worker; I was just observing. I checked the building permit £iles today and there are still no permits issued for repairs to the building. I cannot place a "Stop Work Order" on the job. Council President Gipson encountered Mr. McKee at his �the President's) home concerning this matter. Mr. McKee also expounded on his opinion of ine. The Council President has called me to see if there has been any resolve in this matter. Mr. McKee is taking advantage of the system again and is being ignored while he is breaking the 1aw.
