Rriefiy, I understand you intend to I;ave Everett Community College students construct a duplex on your property at 1416 Hoyt; at the sarne time, you wish to maintain the existing structure on the property until the completion of the dupiex. it is your inlent to have the c'XlStlflg structure occupied during construction of the duplex. Nfter the duplex is constructed, you have indicated the existing structure wi11 be torn down. After rny revicw of the situation and my consultation with the Building Department, it appears that you may maintain the existuig structure as a dwelling wtil such time as your duplex is to }iave its tinal inspection. Since you cannot have two separitc dwcllinbs on your property, it will be necessary io have your existing structure torn down or moved onto a separate lot prior to receivin� an occupancy permit on the duplex.
