Councilman Gipson questioned Mrs. Rice regarding whether she could iaake financial� arranyemenl-s to bnzrow money or ta}:e a mortagage for the purpose of repairing this hou�e and she replied she w.as not aware of any alternatives , but was nct financially situated to pay for it herself. Councilman Stephanson suggested an amendmeut that would indicate if the structure were cleaned up in 10 days or so to the satisfactio� of the City she would be allowed addi�ional time before action is taken. He felt the City should do �ahat it could to protect her ir,vestment. Pr.esident Pope spoke against an amendment such as suggested and urged passage of the resolution.
