One printer, Puget Press , chose not eo participate , per <br /> Councilman Overstreet' s concern for apparent conflict of interest . <br /> There was only one bid, that of K & H which was competecive enough to <br /> • bring the eotal costs under $15 , 000 . The Chamber complimented the <br /> Council on their willi.ngness to invest in broadening and imprcving <br /> the economic base of the community . <br /> BUDGET COrQ4ITTGE <br /> Councilman Aldcroft reported the Budget Committee had a special <br /> meeting and reviewed the Committee ' s report regarding the "E" pay <br /> range and an ordinance coould be coming to the Council for first <br /> reading at the next meeting. <br /> TRAVEL EXPENSE BUDGET - (CB 826-257) <br /> Councilman Michelson spoke against the resolution adopted b;� the <br /> Council for increasing the travel expense account for the Council. Ife <br /> recommended the increase be reduced by $5 , 0�0. This would cover the <br /> overrun on the present account and leave a sma11 margin for the <br /> balance of the year . <br /> Councilman Aldcroft said all businesses and cities do this type of <br /> travel and Councilman Michelson felt one Councilman would be enough Co <br /> attend �the meeting iti Llashington, D. On ?tay 21st personnel <br /> from the Building Department performed an inspection on the externa' <br /> of the foundation and the external portion of the structure. It was <br /> SeCeruiined that the building appears to be structurally sound and <br /> only requires minor structural alteration aiid repairs .
