The inleiit of the ordinance is to help protect the downtown streetscape and encourage economic development in one of the City's important retail and business centers. This ordinance establishes minimum maintenance requirements for structures in the CBD in an effort to keep the streetscape vibrant and attractive. The ordinance becomes effective September 1, 2009. A full copy of the ordinance is enclosed with this letter. An additional letter will be sent in September regarding compliance with this ordinance and how we can best support you in that effort.
