Chuck Griffiss
Page 2.
June 16, 1993
Repairs to the buildings are anticipated to include, but are not
limited to, the following. The lower floor, concrete slab in the
settlement area would be removed and replaced with a structural
slab. The upper floors above the settlement area would be restored
to level by jacking or rebuilding if necessary.
Beyond the scope of this report is the consideration for the
building 's resistance to seismic loading. The city may dictate
the requirements but regardless there is an apparent need to
address this event. The existing masonry walls appear to be
unreinforced and inadequate as shearwalls. In addition they may
require concrete or masonry supporting walls and appropriate
anchorages.
Thank you for the opportunity to wor!.with you on this report. If
we can be of further service please call on us.
Sincerely,
BAKER ENGINEERS
 -
Edwin F. Baker, P.E.
C::014 4
C.T.
