The intent of the ordinance is to h�lp protect the downtown streetscape and encourage economic development in one of the City's important retail and business centers. This ordinance establishes minimum maintenance requirements for stn•ctures in the CBD in an effort to keep ihe streetscape vibrant and attractive. Tlie ordinance becomes effective September 1, 2009. A fuli copy of the ordinance is enclosed with this letter. An additional letter wiil be sent in September regarding compliance with this ordinance and how we can best support you in that effort.
