Box 509,
Everett, 47ashington 98206
your staff regarding the
3306 Hoyt in Everett, we
required 1' spaces per
Our goal is to provide small, efficient; inexpensive and
convenient hcusing for the elderly citizens of Everett.
Our reasons for this request arise out of forty (40) years
and three (3) generations af family experience with over
200 apartment units in the Greater Everett area, with a
thirc. (1/3) devoted to the elderly.
The xeasons we need thi variance are as follows:
1. The building consists of one (1) bedroom - 500
square faot units designed for the elderly and
similar in design and purpose to these success-
ful projects: the two (2) - eight (8) unit
buildings at 4122 and 4126 Hoyt; the sixteen
(16) unit project at 3327 Hoyt Avenue, both
projects requiring similar variances.
2. Our experience indicates that clearly one half (1/2)
of these citizens neither own nor drive a car. This
fact becomes more prevalent the closer they live to
Downtown.
Essentially by providing 1 spaces per unit, we
reduce our ability to landscape, increase the problem
of parked unuseable cars, R,V.'s, boats, etc. and
likely changing our tenant mix from elderly to younger
