This sw•charging condition during heavy rains is a <br />particular problem in the R,ucker Lo IIoyt area bettivecn Iie�viLt and 35th Slreet and <br />is caused by thc comhined sewer systern Uecomu:g hopclessly overloaded with <br />stor•m �vater. The street flooding at Pacific and Rucker and on Hoyt in your �irca <br />arc all part of the sanie problem. <br />Thc City currentl,y has engineervie consultants developing permanent solutions to <br />5-our particular problcm as well as similar ones throughout the City. Tlieir draft <br />report is du�� to be completed Uy L'ebruary 1, 197�J. Just when their i•ecommenciccl <br />solutions arc implemented �vill depend upon available ftmding. <br />As for a short term solution to your particullr problem, I would recoimnend that <br />you insi:all a bacic�vater valve in your side se�ver as required in Section 14.0&.
