EVERET WATER COMPANY. <br />arcd in plat -! <br />'rol... -------- ..0 <br />CIRCULAR <br />To <br />PLUMBERS AND PIPE FITTERS <br />In addition to the rules and regulations ,I the Company re- <br />specting watt. supply, the following instructions are published <br />for the information and guidance of plumbers, pipe -fitters and all <br />persons concerned: <br />On the back of this sheet a statement of the work done and <br />fixtures put in must be made by the plumber and returned to the <br />office of the Company. <br />In all cases a "stop and waste" must be pill in, and so placed <br />that it is easily accessible to the consumer, and in such a position <br />that it will drain all the pipes. If placed outside the building it <br />must be boxed, so that it can be easily reached, and so that it <br />can be protected from frost. All pipes, inside and outside, must <br />be laid free from traps so that they will drain when the wasl.c is <br />open. <br />Pipes in the ground must be laid not Icss than twenty-four <br />inches below the surface. <br />All pipes must be run so as to avoid stopp:lges and all traps <br />must be well secured. <br />No bushing must be used to connect with the stop -cock at the <br />sidewalk; nipples or reducing sockets cony be twit if necessary. <br />No pipe can run between the Company's service -crick and <br />mnin, and in case a water meter is set, no pipe must be connected <br />outside the meter. <br />Plumbers may turn on water for the purpose of testing their <br />pipes, but they must leave it shut off at the Company's service - <br />cock, and in no case turn on the water for consumers. <br />The water will not be turned oil to any premises until the <br />statement herein required has been furnished to the Company <br />and the inspector shall certify that the work has been lone in <br />accordance with its rules and regulations. <br />A.
