In the same area
on the east side of the 2800 block of West Marine View Drive (south
of the fishing tackle store) the land was filled without benefit of
permits and a parking lot was created with a minor amount of gravel
without benefit of drainage, landscaping or any setbacks whatsoever.
Another example is on the southwest corner of Pacific and Lombard that
has recently been improved as a commercial parking lot and again without
any benefit of drainage, landscaping or any setback requirements that
I am told are a matter of code requirements.
In addition, there is another lot - south of the Black Christiensen
Nielsen Law Office (former) in the 3100 block and on the east side of
Rockefeller. Again, no landscaping requirements, no setbacks, no drainage
and yet all of these have been allowed to occur.
raised serious objections to the inconsistency with the application
of codes and ordinances for parking. I was advised that you were investigating
the matter and I respectfully request that you advise me of the progress
of your investigation and whether the City of Everett is going to cause
these lots to cease to exist until ordinance requirements are fulfilled.
Yours truly,
William P.
