Hoaglanc movzd to grant the variance as recommended by staff. <br />Mr. Bennett seconded ;he motion and atated that a minimal re�iuction in parking <br />was being requested and based on �statistics presented by the applic�int it <br />appears to be :.n the �est interests of the community. <br />VOTE: Unanimous to � ant the variance. <br />item 7: <br />Applicant: Mary Servais and Ed Schultz <br />Project Location: 4607 Hoyt <br />Variance Requested: From E.M.C. 19.14.050(A) Sideyards, to allow a <br />detached garage that will be 1.5 feet from the side <br />property line instead of 6 feet. <br />Zonin3: R-1, Single Family Low Density Residential <br />Allan Giffen showed �riawfolls and slides of the proposal and s�marized the <br />staff report (see Variance File No. 14-86). He stated the applicant was <br />requesting a one ar.3 one-half foot sideyard setback, but that Staff was <br />recommending disappr:val of that request and was recommending approval of a <br />variance to allow a three foot setback in order to allow enough room for <br />maintenance of th� S�+iding. <br />Ed Schultz and Msry Servais responded to questions from the Board and stated <br />that the three foot :=tback would be acceptable. <br />No one else spoke for or against the proposal. <br />MOTION: Mr. Sulliv� moved to approve the three foot sldeyard aetback as <br />recommended by stafF.
