Property owner notified (20 day notice) . <br /> 3. Call for bids for demolition . <br /> 4. Council awa^d otbids. <br /> 5.. ConYractor initiating demolition efforts: If the contrnctor is refused <br /> • entry or in any way threatened, the contractor tivould report such <br /> fact to the City's Community Development Director who in turn �vould <br /> seek assistunce from the City Attorney's Office. <br /> 6. At Yh:s time, City could initiate a lawsuit for both a permanent <br /> injunction tvith a temporary restraining order, restraining the <br /> propei�ty owner and others not to interfere with the demolition of the <br /> building. <br /> 7. It the temporary restr3ining order is oUtained , and the contractor <br /> is still refused entry or :n any way threatened, the City ceuld <br /> initiate a contempt of court proceedings. The court cun impose <br /> necessazy snnctions at such proceedings, including putting the <br /> offending individuals in jnil. <br /> During the above process, all efforts would be made to keep the peace � <br /> at till times. Tne police protection �vould be availaUle but used only to <br /> constrain disturbn?ues and to protect the safety of all individuals involved. <br /> At no time, should any emp:ovee of the City or the conu•actor do any acts <br /> - which tivould cause r� disturbance.
