These comments address bui{ding issues only. Additional revisions or additions <br /> may be required by other departments (such as Utili[ies, Planning or Firr.). All <br /> references refer to [he 1997 Uniform Building Code, as amended by the State of <br /> Washington andior Washington State Energy Code 1997 Edition, unless stated <br /> otherwise. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br /> provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings reflecting the <br /> corrections requested. <br /> i. Provide detail of connection of the mono trusses to the waL' of the house. <br /> Specify hanger used and nailine. <br /> 2. The plans call for 642 sq. inch min. net total ventilation (1/300). The code requires <br /> min. 1 sq. ft. of ventilation for each 1�0-sq. ft. ot' attic area. The reduction is only <br /> allowed if 50% of the required ventilation is at least 3'-0" above soffit or eave vents <br /> and the remainder is in soffit or eave vents. Provide new calculations for required <br /> ventilation and/or relocate vents to meet the requirements. <br /> 3. �fter you have resolved the issue of the front porch with the Planning Department, <br /> you need to show the porch and stairs on all elevation views where it would be <br /> visible. Also show all footings for the porch and stairs on the foundation plan. <br /> 4: Bearing walls over 10'-0" tall are required to be eneineered. Provide Engineering <br /> prepared by a licensed WA.
