T: • r•iLe
FROM 7oe Kozlovaki ,`I ' n
J
DATE ay z7, 1983 MAY 11983
SUBJECT Community Transit at Kasch Park Entry ITV OF EVERETT, EVERETT WASHINGTON
.....................................................................
CITY OF EV[RETT
PUt'iC hrrlcs D^;7`.
Meeting was held in City Hal! 5/25/83. In attendance were Jerry Carroll, Don Lind,
Ruben Gonzales, Jerry Ervine, Larry Crawford and representing CT was Herb
Carpenter.
The meeting was caled at the request of CT to discuss the possibility o: lessening
the deign requi:ements for improvements of the driveway imposed by the City on
CT on thzir concommitent agreement for annexation. Jerry Ervine indicated that
any significant change in the agreement would have to be reviewed by the Planning
Commission before final action was taken by the Council.
Herb Carpenter indicated that the CT was not suggesting any diminish:ng of the
width of the roadway paving, but reo, uested that the City Staff review its
requirements for curbs, gutters and drainage; location of the walk and bicycle
pathway. Don Lind indicated that the separation of the pathway from the roadbed
would requie a heavier maintenance :ost for end work if the pathway were
separated from the curb tecause of the hand work required. Both 7ery Carroll and
Larry Crawford indicated that the curbs and gutters should not be deletied from the
roadway cruss section.
Herb Carpenter asked whether or not the paving itself could be delayed temporarily
from the roadway improvements. He did not indicated when the improvements
might be put in, however. He was given the answer that the road bed should be up
to City street standards so that the City Street Department would maintain the
facility. Jerry Ervine, however, did indicate there might be some flexibelity as to
whether or not paving would be required on the parking lts, and that determination
could be made by the Planning Director.
Mr. Carpenter indicated that tne road geometry at Airport Road wouid provide for
two off lanes and one on lane from Airport Road.
1
